WRINKLE REDUCTION SUPPORT

• By post-op day 21 Foundations patients show up to a 3x improvement in wrinkles compared to the treatment-only control group.

• By post-op day 60, Foundations patients show a 16x improvement in wrinkles over laser alone patients.

GLP-1 PATIENTS. A HIGHER BAR FOR RECOVERY

GLP-1 receptor agonists are increasingly common in aesthetic patients — and they quietly raise the biological stakes of every procedure.

Reduced nutrient intake, relative protein insufficiency, and dehydration create conditions that can compromise healing.

In our clinical trial, supplemented GLP-1 patients demonstrated recovery trajectories that stayed within 20% of the broader Foundations group across all four objective outcome measures.

The biological challenge was higher. The recovery held.

REDUCED PIGMENTATION AND ELIMINATION OF PIH REBOUND

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a clinically important risk following laser and other heat-based treatments and is commonly reflected by increases in deep UV pigment during the post-procedure period. Excessive rebound in deep UV pigment indicates heightened melanocyte activation and is a key contributor to delayed recovery and uneven skin tone. This risk is particularly relevant in patients with darker Fitzpatrick skin types, who are more susceptible to inflammation-driven pigmentary changes following thermal injury.

Pigment rebounds for everyone, as expected, but significantly less for those taking Foundations.

When taken 1 week prior to treatment:

  • 34% reduction in rebound of discoloration

When taken 3 weeks prior to treatment

  • No evidence of discoloration rebound (UV Deep remains below Baseline)

IMPROVED HYDRATION DURING HEALING

All patients experienced decreased hydration on post-op day 3, as expected following a laser treatment. For Foundations patients, skin hydration returned to or near baseline one week following the procedure and continued strengthening — with up to x2.3 the improvement in skin barrier and moisture through month two.

Patients treated with laser alone exhibited a lingering hydration deficit after one week and levels continued to lag behind Foundations patients through month two.

EARLY AND SUSTAINED TEXTURE IMPROVEMENT

Following an energy-based device treatment, skin texture typically undergoes an initial transient worsening—often described as a “healing spike”—before progressive improvement occurs. patients receiving Foundations exhibited a lower initial spike, returned to baseline earlier, and achieved meaningful texture improvement sooner.

Foundations patients achieved more than double the improvement at Post-Op Days 7 and 21, and still maintaining a 2x greater improvement at Post-Op Day 60.
